William Combs Obituary

William Leroy "Bill" Combs, 78, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004, at John Knox Care Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at Langsford Funeral Home; burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery. Visitation 6:308:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Bill was born August 21, 1925, in Sandsprings, OK. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the 1504th Army Air Forces as sergeant from 1943 through 1946, earning the silver star Philippine Liberation Victory Medal, Good Conduct medal and one overseas bar American Theater Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was the District Manager for Sears for 23 years and retired in July of 1984. His hobbies included golf and woodworking. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Juana R. Combs of Lee's Summit; three daughters, Cindy Snider, Oregon, Vicky Musgrave, Lee's Summit, Kathy Ismert, Raymore. Survivors include eight grandchildren, Jay Curley, Kim Bunton, Crissy Curley, Kelly Lunquist, Shane Musgrave. Ted Ismert, Melinda Ismert, Nick Ismert and four great-grandchildren.
