Eloise Warren Obituary

Former Lexington resident, 82

HASTINGS - Eloise Warren, 82, of Hastings died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at All Saints Chapel at Good Samaritan Village in Hastings, with the Rev. Dr. Judith Allen officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Lexington.

Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Sunday at DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hastings.

She was born May 15, 1927, in Lexington to Clement and Frances (Paul) Prasch. On Oct. 4, 1947, she married Alan L. Warren at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington.

Survivors include her son, Brent A. Warren of Kenesaw; daughter and son-in-law, Tana and Ron Seymour of Hastings; and granddaughter, Melanie Kuehl of New Orleans.

She attended school in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1945.

She and her husband lived in Overton, before moving to Grand Island for several years and then back to Lexington. She moved to Hastings in 2000 after the death of her husband so she could be closer to her daughter.

While in Grand Island, she worked for the Army Ammunition Plant. After returning to Lexington, she worked at Lexington Communications until retiring in 2000.

Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, reading and gardening. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, leaving a legacy of strength, courage and love to her family.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be given to the Highland Park Arboretum or Mary Lanning Hospice.
