Emilio Iorio Obituary
1927 - 2018
Emilio Iorio, 91, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
Born in Rende, Italy, on Jan. 6, 1927, he was the son of the late Louis and Carmela (Greco) Iorio. He was educated in the schools of Italy before moving to Kenosha in 1946.
On Nov. 28, 1953, he married Antoinette Alia at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Emilio was formerly employed at American Motors Corporation, retiring after 30 years. He also was part owner of Infusino's Pizzeria West in Racine. Emilio was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Antoinette Iorio of Kenosha; a son, John (Jodi) Iorio of Kenosha; a daughter, Christine (Larry) Miletta of Pleasant Prairie; a brother, Vincenzo (Rosa) Iorio of Cosenza, Italy; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3, at Proko Funeral Home from 9:15 a.m. until the time of a prayer service at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
