Alma Lena Howes Adams

PAINTSVILLE - Alma Lena Howes Adams, of Paintsville, KY, departed from this earth to be with her Lord on June 4, 2008. She was born Oct 29, 1905 in Magoffin County, KY. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Ted Adams, in 1983. Also preceding her in death were two children; one son, James William Adams of Paintsville, KY, and Lena Ruth Moberly of Richmond, KY, a granddaughter, Cathy Elaine George Walker of Prestonsburg, KY, a brother, Charles Howes and a sister, Lucy Gullett both of Magoffin County, KY. Mrs. Adams is survived by two sons; Ted (Sammie) Adams of Yorba Linda, CA, Charles (Polly) Adams of Ashland, KY, a daughter, Lois (Clyde) George of Prestonsburg, KY, and a sister Lilly Belle Hensley of Salyersville, KY, a daughter- In-law, Marilyn Adams of Paintsville, KY, and a son-in-law, Harry Moberly of Richmond, KY. Mrs. Adams is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Adams will be conducted at Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4-8pm Sat, June 7, 2008, with funeral service at First Christian Church, Main Street, Paintsville, on Sun, June 8, 2008, at 2pm.
