Elliott Stewart GORDON

GORDON Elliott Stewart, husband of Doris Farmer Gordon, passed away Sat, Nov 12, 2011. Born Aug 1, 1918 in Frankfort, KY, to the late Dudley C. Gordon and Vesta Lou Montgomery Rice. He was educated in the Bellepoint Schools and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII serving on the USS West Virginia at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was a member of the Thompson Road Baptist Church and a retired Towboat Engineer form American Commercial Barge Lines and American Electric Power Company. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Funeral Services will be Tue at 2pm in the chapel of Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. by Pastor Dave Parks. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Mon. Memorials are suggested to Baptist Faith Missions, PO 471280, Lake Monroe, FL 32747-1280. Serving as Honorary Bearers will be the Men Sunday School Class from Thompson Road Baptist Church.
