July 19, 1936 - May 27, 2022
Lexington, Kentucky - Phyllis Irene Slone was born in Stamping Ground, KY to the late Bruce Derossett and Martha Vance Derossett, and was a widow to Coy Slone. She had been a seamstress for the Goodyear Rubber Plant. Among her pastimes were talking with friends and family and she was especially gifted doing everyones tax returns for them. Those sharing her memories are three living sons, Greg Slone, Tony Dunlap, and Gary Slone; a daughter, Vicki Dunlap; sister, Marcella Hobbs; brothers, Gene Derossett and wife Opal, 17 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren and several extended family members. Also preceding her in passing are a son, Thomas Howe; brothers Bruce Derossett, Leroy Derossett and sister, Deloris Land. Funeral Service 1pm Thursday June 2 with Visitation Wednesday 4-8 pm both at Fender Funeral Directors. Burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
