Mary Lucille Fitzsimmons

MARY LUCILLE FITZSIMMONS Cunningham - Mary Lucille Fitzsimmons, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Pratt Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 19, 1942 in Pratt to Floyd Edwin and Amelia Mary (Lutes) Crosley. Mary married Gary Paul Fitzsimmons on August 19, 1961 at Cairo Methodist Church. They were married for 61 years. Mary graduated from Cunningham High School in 1960. She went on to gain a cosmetology certificate at Wichita Cosmetology School. She owned His N Her Hair Care. She was a member of Cunningham Methodist Church where she was a part of the Women's Club, Youth Fellowship Leader and Vacation Bible School Leader. She was also a member of Cairo EHU, Cunningham Women's Club and Pratt County Fair Association. She enjoyed gardening, canning, taking photos, making and writing cards, sewing, cooking, gadgets, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Paula (Michael) Gates of Kansas City, Missouri, Dean (Jerree) Fitzsimmons of Cunningham and Deanna (Sean) Aspedon of Wichita; sister, Rae (Charlie) Strickland of Eureka; sister in-law, Sharon Crosley of Wichita; grandchildren, Ashley (Nathan) Smith, James (MaKala) Fitzsimmons and Jenna Fitzsimmons, Nikki Scott and Austin Scott; and great-grandchildren, Jack Paul Smith, Amber Jean Fitzsimmons and Amy Jo Fitzsimmons. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Don Crosley and Edwin Crosley. Visitation will be Monday, April 24, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Cunningham Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Cairo Cemetery, Cairo.
