KAY FRENCH LAMUNO IVENS

IVENS, KAY FRENCH LAMUNO - age 58, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was born June 20, 1955 in Oliver Springs, TN, the daughter of James D. and Helen Freeman French. Mrs. Ivens worked as a realtor with her husband of 21 years, Mark A. Ivens, of Ivens Realtors and she was a member of the Knoxville Association of Realtors as well as the Blount County Association of Realtors, where she had served as past president and had also won the Realtor of the Year Award. Kay had served for years as a member of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. In earlier years she owned the Oak Ridge Racquet Club. She loved to travel and spend time at the beach, but her passion was spending time with her grandchildren and participating in family activities. She loved to entertain and was known for her themed events. In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Scott Lamuno and wife Olympia of Nashville, Tyler Ivens of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kimberly Lamuno of Maryville and Chandler Ivens of Knoxville; brother, Allen French and wife Patricia Price of Knoxville; sister, Linda Varnadore of Oak Ridge; 3 grandchildren, Eli, Andrew and Rocco Lamuno and several nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 5:00- 7:00 pm at Weatherford Mortuary. A celebration of life will follow at 7:00 pm.
