Kenneth James Clevenger, Jr., age 71, passed away peacefully October 7, 2018 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was born in Newport, Tennessee on November 11, 1946, but lived in Knoxville most of his life. He was retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation and attended New Victory Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his Harley, restoring classic cars and fellowship with his family and friends. You could always count on Kenny to bring laughter to everyone he was around. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Clevenger, Sr.; mother, Mira (Billy) Conley and his brother, Ralph Clevenger. Kenny is survived by his son, Jimmy Arthur; sister, Joyce French; brother, Daniel (Penny) Clevenger and many nieces and nephews. Kenny was a reliable and dependable friend and will be missed by many people that he has helped out through his life. The family will receive family and friends at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Friday, October 12, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service at Union Cemetery, Newport, TN on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 am. Condolences may be made at www.berryfuneralhome.com.

Kenny im really gonna miss you. You gave me so much advice on using my oxygen and doing exercises to strengthen my lungs. You gave me one of your pulse oxmeter to check my breathing. You were a friend to all who knew you. The seat in front of mine will forever have your name on it. No one can take your place. Sadly missed by. Bo and John Hanley.

Kenny was the main reason we always wanted to have Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at our house. His prayers and fellowship will be missed greatly.
