Tommy Griffin Obituary
Knoxville, TN
Tommy Floyd Griffin, age 64 passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his home. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove "Piney" Baptist Church. He was the owner of A.T. Johnson Produce Company, and an avid hunter.
Preceded in death by father, Kenneth Griffin; sister, Linda Gail Singleton; and brother, Jerry Griffin. Survived by wife of 46 years, Violet Griffin; children, Tammy Griffin Gantte, Todd (Tina) Griffin; grandchildren, which were his pride and joy, Tayla (Matt) Clay, Landon Gantte, Ethan Gantte, Griffin Gantte, Tori Griffin, and Tommy Griffin; great granddaughter, Dilyn Clay; mother, Jo Norris Griffin; special friends, Barry and Angie Elmore, Jeff and Kay French; his church family; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Friday, February 19, 2016, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. Rickie Hardin officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pleasant Grove Piney Baptist Church Building Fund, 2660 Piney Road, New Market, TN 37820. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Saturday at Pleasant Grove Piney Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment. Pallbearers: Michael Watson, Jason Johnson, Michael Griffin, Donnie Davis, Randy Wagnor, Barry Elmore, Chris Haggard, and Craig Vineyard. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999. www.bridgesfuneralhome.com

Dearest Todd and family,
Richie and I were so sad to hear of tommys passing this evening. To describe Tommy, the words integrity, ethics, and patience immediatly come to mind. It was a privilege to work under and learn from such a kind man. Sending your entire family prayers and comfort during this difficult time. Apologies that we could not be with you to worship and celebrate tommys time here on earth, but no doubt he is with His Heavenly Father. We regret not being able to tell him one last time, thank you for everything he did. So many life lessons learned from Tommy! ( To think, he and Andy J are once again telling jokes and telling stories larger than life. :) He will never be forgotten. Xoxo love to your family, Richie and Susan

I have been cutting Tommy,s hair and hearing stories about your family for over 30 years I feel as if I know all of your family
