KENDALLVILLE - John Bradley Wilson, age 76, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.
Brad was born in Muncie, Indiana, on March 30, 1947, to James H. Wilson and Berylda G. (Haidet) Wilson.
He graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1965.
He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War.
He began his career in law enforcement in 1971, with the Muncie and Middletown Police Departments.
He married Belinda Sue Luellen on Aug. 22, 1974, in Muncie.
In 1976, Brad joined the Kendallville Police Department and proudly served the citizens of Kendallville, until his retirement in 1999. After his retirement from KPD, he worked on special investigations for the LaGrange Country Prosecutor's Office for three years and part-time for the Rome City Police Department.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda Wilson, of Kendallville; daughter, Beth Brown (Eric), of Muncie; sons, Bruce Christopher Shoaf, of Mt. Summit, Indiana, and Cory Wilson, of Bloomington, Indiana; three grandchildren, Erik, Jennifer and Maya; and three great-grandchildren; mother, Berylda Wilson, of Muncie; sisters, Angela Patterson, of South Carolina, and Karla Lance, of Muncie; and brother, Terry Wilson, of Milroy, Indiana.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, from 2-5 p.m.,at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services with military honors will also be held on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at 5 p.m., at Hite Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Noble County Humane Society or Parkview Hospice.
