WOLCOTTVILLE - Larry W. Mix, 77, of Wolcottville, IN died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Mix was born on September 3, 1940, in Huntington, IN to Clifford E. and Marjorie Marie (Tester) Mix.
Living in LaGrange County for many years, he spent twenty-eight years in law enforcement, retiring from both the LaGrange County Sheriff Dept. as a deputy and as a Wolcottville Town Deputy Marshall. He was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church in Wolcottville, IN.
On April 14, 2007, he married Nancy L. (Sines) Schultz; Mrs. Mix survives in Wolcottville.
Also surviving are two sons, Scott Wayne Mix of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Kelly James and Beth Mix of Rotterdam, Netherlands; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Kevin Fee of New Albany, Ohio; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shelly Schultz of Bryan, Ohio; Bryce Smith of North Carolina, who was like a son to him; two step-grandsons, Rob and Mindy Morgan of Ligonier, IN, Brooks Morgan of Bluffton, IN; five step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Clifford E. Mix; his mother, Marjorie Marie (Tester) Jackson; and a brother, Gordon Huston.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, IN. Rev. Kevin DeKoninck will officiate the service.
Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, and on Thursday, from 10 am until the service time at 11 am.
Burial will take place privately at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington, IN.
Memorials may be made to Wolcottville United Methodist Church.
