Paul Schrader Obituary
He was born on May 29, 1937 in New Haven to Walter J and Helen (Vachon) Schrader.
Paul worked for 38 years for General Telephone Company as an installer and construction before retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn.
He was a loving family man that loved the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and working in his wood shop.
He married Mary Joan Hause on Aug. 9, 1958 in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and she survives in Auburn.
He is also survived by 6 daughters, Pam (Mark) Morton of Hamilton, Beth (Mark) Akey of Fort Wayne, Susan Blasch of Auburn, Jill Schrader of Angola, Karen (Mike) Harris of Waterloo and Tracy (Brian) Bell of Auburn; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; a brother and 3 sisters, Donald (Kate) Schrader of Waynedale, Margaret Moore of New Haven, Jeannett Durbin of Lancaster, PA and Mary (DeWayne) Merck of Mishawaka; 2 sister in laws, Wanda Schrader of Fort Wayne and Marlene Schrader of New Haven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Richard Schrader, John Schrader and a sister Irene Ferrier.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn with Father Timothy Wrozek officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
Calling is Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn and also one hour prior to the mass, from 10-11 a.m. at the church Wednesday.
A Vigil Service will take place Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. To send condolences, visit www.fellerandclark.com.

Paul followed in the footsteps of his brothers and sisters in charm and wit. sorry we couldn't make it to the service but he is in our hearts and prayers.

Mary Jo, I remember enjoying our short times together as they were quite infrequent. Dean always spoke highly of the two of you. Our "fun loving" guys have a way of leaving us way too soon.
