Nancy A. (Borgen) Klahn
REEDSBURG - Nancy Ann (Borgen) Klahn, age 84, of Reedsburg, WI, and formerly of Boscobel, Westby, and Postville, IA, died Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Casa de Oakes Memory Care in Reedsburg. She was born August 1, 1939, in La Crosse, WI, to Ralph and Catherine (Bohrnstedt) Borgen. Nancy was confirmed at the Westby Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1954 and graduated from Westby High School in 1957. She married the love of her life, Alvin "Al" Klahn of Viroqua, on December 31, 1958. They spent the next 54 years together until Al's passing in 2013. They raised two sons, Jeff and Dan, in Postville, and remained there until they retired and moved to Wisconsin to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Nancy's life revolved around her family; she was a wonderful and caring Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. Some of her favorite things included family gatherings and holidays, where she welcomed everyone with a smile, love, delicious food, and legendary baked goods. Nancy also enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's school and sporting events and annual family vacations to Hayward. Nancy touched the lives of those around her and will forever be loved and remembered for the kindness, compassion, and affection she showed everyone, every day.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Jeff (Camille) Klahn of Brooklyn, and Dan (Tina) Klahn of Reedsburg; five grandchildren from Jeff and Camille: Joshua, Annika, James, Tatyana, and Raissa Klahn; three grandchildren from Dan and Tina: Kirsten (Joe) Yovino, Derek (Shannon) Klahn, and Dillon Klahn; six great-grandchildren: Cas, Reagan, and Easton Yovino, and Bryson, Kayden and Emersyn Klahn; a sister Mary Stockstad of Stoughton; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Al, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Jon Borgen.
Private family services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Thorson-Popp Funeral and Cremation Services in Viroqua. Burial will follow in the Viroqua Cemetery. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy's name may be given to an Alzheimer's charity of choice.
