Robert Wilder Obituary
following an extended illness. Mr. Wilder was born to the late James "Jonesy" and Janet
Anderson Wilder in Dearborn, Michigan. Mr. Wilder had lived in the Fort White area since 1997 after moving there from Detroit Michigan. Mr. Wilder managed Popes Grocery in Fort White for several years. Mr. Wilder was
also a board member of the
Wilson Springs Property Owners Association and in his spare time he enjoyed working on mechanics, blacksmithing, and forging.
Mr. Wilder is survived by his wife of 13 years Rhonda Gilley, a sister Michele Johnsen, a brother David Wilder, and a grandson Cameron Chapman all of Fort White, and a nephew Sean Johnsen of Morro Bay, California.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Wilder will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the Fort White Cemetery, with Rev. Marc Pargo officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Columbia County Unit, 2119 SW 16th St, Gainesville, FL 32608. Rhonda,Doc,Michelle,I am so sorry to hear this,I had no idea he was sick.I will forever remember his kindness to me and non-judgmental friendship.He was one of the very few that was there for me after David died,without judgement,completely unconditional friendship. Oh,I could go on but you must know how very special he was. Mine & Davids deepest sympathy for you.Please call if there is anything we can do.Always in lasting friendship,
