Ruth Hammond Obituary
LANCASTER: Ruth Alice Hammond, 93 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012, after a short illness surrounded by family and friends at her grandson's home in Sugar Grove. Ruth was born January 4, 1919 in Pleasantville, Ohio to Henry and Leona Hoffman.
Ruth was survived by her grandson David (Rebecca) Hammond; granddaughter Jennifer (Rudy) Schultz; great grandchildren Jason (Elizabeth) Hammond and Jessica (Chaz) Roth; and great-great grandson Camden Allan Hammond, and soon to be great-great granddaughter Lilly Roth. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband William B. Hammond Sr.; son William B. Hammond Jr.;and three sisters.
Caring cremation has taken place and a private graveside service was held at Hampson Cemetery in Pleasantville, Ohio on November 16, 2012 with Chaplain Linda Ward of FairHOPE Hospice officiating. Arrangements were handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME OF Lancaster.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to the Berne Township Fire Department, P.O. Box 310, Sugar Grove, Ohio 43155.

I took care of Ruth at Lanfair. We loved her so much and miss her just the same. May you rest in peace my dear, the only comfort is to know you are not suffering anymore.
