J. Edward McKinley

McKINLEY, J. Edward Born October 11, 1917 in Seattle, Washington to Edward W. McKinley and Marie McNab McKinley, passed away at his residence in Beverly Hills on July 30, 2004. Mr. McKinley proudly served in the Coast Guard in World War II. An actor, Mr. McKinley appeared in many films, including "Advise & Consent," "The Party," "The Great Race," " How the West Was Won," and "The Cincinnati Kid," TV series including "Bonanza," "Little House on the Prairie" and "The Munsters," and over 200 commercials. He was also an avid gun collector and collector of classic cars.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Helene, in April, 2004, he is survived by his daughter, Gloria Marie McKinley-Green; stepchildren, Lee Philipson and Ilene Philipson; sister, Marion Finley; and granddaughter, Melissa. Friends may call on Friday, August 6th, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Holy Cross Mortuary, 5835 W. Slauson Ave., Culver City, CA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 7th, at 10 AM, at Good Shepherd Church, Beverly Hills, followed by committal at Holy Cross Cemetery.
