Richard Ax Obituary

April 14, 1959 - February 8, 2016 Rick Ax passed away quietly at home in the company of his wife Courtney and his beloved pets. Rick is survived by his adoring wife Courtney (Rheuban), his sister Ellen Ax-Blair, his nieces and nephews Rachel and Kelsey Blair, Geoffrey and Alison Ax and his grand nephew Gavin Ax, his sisters and brother-in-law, Jennifer Rheuban, Paul Goldstein, Allyson Auster, his grand niece and nephew Kaitlin and Jackson Auster, special friend Yan Quan and his (currently) 6 dogs, Kelly, Tina, Jack, Cookie, Mousse and Lucy. Rick, a talent manager for over 25 years, was one of those rare people that always felt that his clients were his family. Their children were his nieces and nephews. Along with Courtney, his concern for others also extended to a lifelong commitment to rescuing and caring for hundreds of dogs over the years, each of which served to enrich his life. His generous warmth and compassion for others and his exuberance for life will be deeply missed by everyone. Memorial donations may be made to Rick's favorite rescue groups - Star Paws Rescue Foundation, Much Love Animal Rescue, Downtown Dog Rescue and Love Leo Rescue.
