Yukio was a beautiful person. Always thinking of what he could do for other people. On a recent trip, he e-mailed me and wanted to know if there was anything I wanted from Japan. Amazing...not just the fact that he asked, but because he had such a hectic schedule, and took the time to think of me! We both attended the Minidoka Pilgrimage in 2011, and he must have taken hundred's of pictures. Barely taking time out to eat. February 2012, was the last time I saw Yukio. He attended the Congressional Gold Medal celebration in Salt Lake City, Utah. I asked to see his medal, which he brought with him on the trip. Absolutely beautiful. It is an honor to have known Yukio. My heart goes out to the Mochizuki family. I was deeply saddened by your loss.

I corresponded with Yukio about the MIS and my Dad, and he shared wonderful stories about his experiences. I only met him briefly at the CGM Event, but he will have a lasting impression on me, due to his generosity, enthusiasm, and kindness. My thoughts are with your family. We will miss him.
