Stella G. Legarda, 48, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Gila Regional Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1968 in Silver City, NM to Sammy R. Gonzales Sr. and Rosie Pas. Stella owned and operated Little Nisha's Restaurant in Bayard, NM. She is survived by her husband, Frankie of the family home; her father, Sammy R. Gonzales Sr. of Las Cruces, NM; five sons, Eric Legarda, Johnny Ray Palomarez, Frankie Legarda Jr., Sammy Garcia all Santa Clara; and Eric Armendariz of Bayard; five daughters, Tanisha Legarda of Santa Clara; Robin Arellin of Bayard; Brittney Vigil of Arenas Valley; Naomi and Maria Legarda of Silver City; nine grandchildren, Lillianna Lamoreaux, Izaiah, Cameron and Jasmine Olivas, Ivan Carrasco, Izzy Rodriguez, Shane and Justine Spears, Ariana Legarda; one brother, Sammy Gonzales Jr. of Las Cruces; four sisters, Lisa Campbell (Anthony) of Las Cruces; Mary Marin (Steven) of Las Vegas, NV; Rosie Fisher (Ryan) of Monterey, CA; Lupe Vigil of Silver City; her extended family, Julian and Mary J. Arellin of Arenas Valley; maternal grandmother, Lupe Pas and Aunt Ernestina Pas of Arenas Valley and many other aunts and uncles; paternal grandparents, Claro and Helen Gonzales of Hurley; father-in-law, Salvador B. Legarda of Ft. Bayard; twenty nieces and nephews, Marissa, Joseph and Victoria Kirker, Rebecca, Samantha Gonzales, Steven Jr. (godson), Nathan Marin, Chris, Carlos, Romeo, Taven and Zayden Vigil and many other loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Pas; her daughter, Angela Arellin; and brother-in-law, Chris Vigil. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Sunday, September 24th at 4pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon Bill Holguin officiating. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
