I was stationed at Korat AFB with Herb and we shared the same hooch (living quarters) while we were there. I am very sad to read of his passing. We shared many hours working together and visiting in the hooch. He was truly a great person. The year that we spent in Thailand was very long especially since we were away from our loved ones. Herb made the year more tolerable for me.

I have many happy memories of Herb. He lived on Derry Road, I lived on Chocolate Ave, In elementary school we would take turns walking across the country club to visit each other. Later, we played peewee hockey. If I close my eyes right now, I can clearly feel what it was like to be 11 years old, skating on the little rink, practicing for the the Pee-Wee hockey tournament in Quebec City. Picture attached. Herb is third from the left. With lively memories like these, a part of Herb lives on in all of us.

I was very sorry to hear this news. Herb was a great man and a wonderful neighbor on Maple Avenue. I moved to Florida last year so I wasn't able to attend the services. With my deepest sympathies, your former neighbor, Rich Uhrich.

I was a classmate of Herb's HHS'67. I had lost touch when we moved to Emmaus, but reconnected with him after his diagnosis. i was fortunate to have been part of his fight from a distance and was inspired by his attitude. I had hoped to attend his service, but it appears at this time that I will not make it. Please know I will be with you in prayer.

Deb, please accept my condolences on Herb's passing. Herb was one of the smartest people with whom I have ever worked. There was no challenge that could not be resolved when his analytical skills were tapped. I learned a lot from him. He was always gracious and professional...a class act. I hope you and your daughters take comfort in knowing how highly he was respected.
