Deepest sympathy to Carol, Barb, Jon and the whole Phillips family. What I like most about John was his wit. He had perfect timing with the things he would say and could really make you laugh. God bless you all.

Whatever John did he gave it his all. He was the laugh of the party and determined to help where needed. I got my first real job in the PA Army National Guard because of John. He fought the horrible disease of acute myeloid leukemia but he was not cured. There will be a reunion with the Lord and all who have gone before us and what a time that will be! I love you John and will see you in the sweet by and by when we meet on that beautiful shore.

My deepest Sympathy to Carol and the Phillips Family. John was my right hand man in the 28th Infantry Division Property Book Office, 28th DMMC and DISCOM. He could always be counted on to complete any project given to him in a complete and efficient way. He was Property Book Team 5 chief for many years and because of his efforts contributed greatly to the success of the office. He will be missed by all who knew or worked with him.

There's nothing to say to lessen the pain when you loose a parent, Barb, but you do have all your memories which will live on forever. Thinking of you and the family during this very difficult time! Love you!

My sincere condolences to Carol, Barb and the entire Phillips family. I will remember John as the individual who recruited me into the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Our careers crossed paths often, from the 28th Finance Company, 28th DMMC and DISCOM. When we saw each other - I would say - "It's all your fault" (because he was my recruiter) - He always smiled, gave me "a look" and said - "Well, you know". John was a first class individual. Thank you John! He will be greatly missed.

Deepest sympathy to Carol, Barb and the entire Phillips family. I worked with John at Ft Indiantown Gap when the garrison closed and all property was transitioned to the National Guard. I could never have done my job without his guidance and assistance. What a fine man of wisdom and integrity. He will be greatly missed, but now he is suffering no more. He is at peace with our Lord and Savior. One sweet day, you will meet again in Heaven. What a glorious day that will be!
