Waverly Hall, GA- Brian Keith Hinkley, 55 of Waverly Hall, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at his home. Memorial Services will be at 6pm, Monday June 17, 2013 at the Waverly Hall United Methodist Church located at 7580 GA Hwy 208, Waverly Hall, GA with Rev. Don Wolfgang officiating. All are welcome to attend with dinner being served in the fellowship hall directly following the memorial services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's Memory to The Cancer Treatment Center of America, 600 Parkway North, Newnan, GA 30265.
Brian was born July 7, 1957 in Tampa, FL. Graduated from Largo H.S., Largo, MD, 1975. Colleges attended: Salisbury Community College, Salisbury, MD, Bowie State Univ., Bowie, MD, graduating from Columbus State Univ with his Bachelor's Degree in 1988. He served on active duty Army, Infantry: enlisted 1980, commissioned 1983, veteran of Gulf War, and was honorably discharged in 1992. He then pursued a career in Healthcare Administration where he was employed at MedAR, Inc. in Tacoma, WA, Chugachmiut Indian Tribe Healthcare System in Seward, AK, Rice, Lake, & Harper Urology in Columbus, GA, and lastly a Healthcare Analyst at Martin Army Hospital at Ft. Benning, GA.
Brian is known throughout Harris County for his volunteer work over the years for the HCCMS drama club, and HCHS marching band, drama dept, and Girl's JV & Varsity Soccer Teams. He was often found cheering on the sidelines of every Excalibur Soccer Team recreational game. Brian's favorite hobbies including cooking and metal detecting.
Survivors include his wife of 32 yrs, Karla Kay Hinkley of Waverly Hall; his son Keith Travis Hinkley of Chicago, IL; his daughter Bryndahl Rae Hinkley of Columbus, GA; his parents, Mel and Joan Hinkley of Palmyra, VA; sisters, Amy Diane Hinkley (Joe) Neuenschwander of Bowie, MD, and Susan Lynne (Gary) Fitzgerald of Washington D.C.; and brother, Wade (Ruth) Hinkley of Arnold, MD.

Karla, Keith and Bryndahl...I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a good man with a great mind. His loss will be felt for a long time from within his family and from without. The good thing about this is that I have really gotten to know the Hinkleys more and more. Thank you for inviting me into your lives, and I am forever thankful that through Brian, you were brough into mine.
