Columbus, GA- Carol Leigh Johnston, 43, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 4:00pm at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA; the Reverend Brad Parker officiating.
Leigh was born December 13, 1974 to James William Johnston and Margaret Parker Johnston. She graduated from Columbus High School and the University of Georgia, where she majored in Biology and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority.
For many years, Leigh was a successful media sales executive, earning the respect and admiration of her peers. She was awarded the Sales STAR Award for excellence in cable television advertising and recognized as an "Ultimate Performer" for broadcast and digital sales. Leigh adopted her co-workers as her "work-family", and her clients enjoyed her friendship as well as her marketing expertise. Her absence in the media community will be greatly felt by all.
Survivors include a loving daughter, Ava Grace Treilobs, her parents, Will and Margaret Johnston and her brother William Parker Johnston. Ms. Johnston is preceded in death by grandparents, J.D. and Margaret Kemp Parker and Dorothy Willis Johnston.
"Lee Lee" loved her family, her friends, and watching football; especially her University of Georgia Dawgs. She loved gourmet cooking and was a talented artist and jewelry designer. As member of the marketing committee for PAWS Humane, Leigh was always willing to adopt a stray animal when there was a need. "Lee Lee" was well known for her vibrant personality; she radiated joy and was loved by everyone who knew her. Leigh leaves many wonderful memories to be shared along with a place in our hearts forever.

Lee Lee will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Her smiling bubbly personality, her loving kindness and concern for everyone is what I'll always remember.
