Phenix City , AL- Mr. Charlie Lewis, Jr., 71 of 1500 11th Avenue, Apt. 107-C, Phenix City, AL passed Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Columbus Hospice.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, Inc with Rev. Charles Sapp, officiating. Interment will follow in West End Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 1 - 8 p.m. EST with a family hour from 5 - 6 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Lewis was born October 1, 1944 in Salem, AL to the late Charlie Lewis, Sr. and the late Daisy Lamb. He was a member of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Brown Trucking Company after 40 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia Lewis of Phenix City, AL; one son, Charley (Renita) Lewis of Douglasville, GA; two daughters, LeQuieta (Robert Morgan) Whitfield and Kesiue (Marvin Morten) Reese both of Phenix City, AL; two brothers, Leroy Lewis of Columbus, GA and Edward (Connie) Lamb of Montgomery, AL; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
