Todd,

Last night I was shocked to learn of Cherie's passing. She came to work a year after myself at Daniel Middle School, when she first started teaching. I had the priviledge to work with an get to know her there. We were at separate schools for the last fifteen years, but saw each other at workshops. I last spoke with Cherie at a workshop last June.

You were truly blessed to have her as your wife. She radiated peace, and joy all around. She was a beautiful lady inside and out; always smiling, never complaining! What rare qualities she exhibited.

You will be in my prayers, that the Holy Spirit, our Comforter will wrap around you, keeping you in peace, and only fond memories of the 23 years you spend together.

Todd, I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Cheri was my cousin and though we had not kept in touch over the years, I never forgot what a sweet and beautiful girl she was. I pray you can take comfort knowing she is at peace now and pain free sitting at the feet of God. My thoughts and prayers are for peace, comfort and healing for you and Art and the rest of the family.

"To My Wife" Cherie we've been together for such a long time, you always have been in my heart and always on my mind. We've seen the worst and we have seen the best, just remember our long walks hand in hand and forget the rest. I never dreamed i would mary a lady as sweet as you, the closer we got you helped me see all the gray skies turn blue. You have been my wife for 23 years, oh how i will miss you and surely shed many tears. People say home is where the heart is, and i would say this is true, no matter, where i go now my heart will be missing you! Oh how our love has grown day by day, we learned so much about each other along the way. We learned to give and we learned to receive, the greatest gift of all God taught us to believe. You are my love and my best friend, my heart will ache until i see you again. Oh how you worried about so many things, but now you can rest in peace and hear the angels sing! I LOVE YOU!!

After I retired from MCSD in 1999, I substituted at DCMS for many years. Cherie was ALWAYS so nice to me when I subbed, no matter which team nor teacher! When I would sub for her, she was so organized and prepared for a sub. I don't know of many teachers who loved their job anymore than Cherie did. I dearly loved her. I had not seen her in several years and am saddened to hear of her passing. I know it is a sad day at DCMS. She is with GOD now, and will teach all the little Angels. Blessings! Barbara

I am very saddened by the news of Cherie's passing. She was such an inspiration to me when I was her understudy during my student-teaching experience (Fall 2010). She always made sure that my lesson plans were properly written and presented. I remember her love for her students and staff members. She will be missed greatly.
