Columbus, GA- Erika D. Headrick, 80, of Columbus, GA, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation will be one-hour prior, and the family will have a private burial at Parkhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Headrick was born November 23, 1937 in Manheim, Germany to the late Karl and Anna Depper. She married Eugene Headrick and raised her family here in Columbus, GA. She retired from Fieldcrest Mills as a weaver and from the Muscogee County School System as a crossing guard. She was very active in the local American Legion Post 35 Ladies Auxiliary, calling bingo, supporting other families and making visits to the VA hospital. She was also a member of Whiterock Assembly of God. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, (Ret) SSG Eugene Headrick and her son Tony Headrick.
Survivors include her children, Robert Headrick and wife Carol, Carol Frazier and Steve Headrick; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Stevens, Whitney Morris, Richard Headrick and Tyler Headrick; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and many other extended family members and friends.

Ms. Erika,
You will always hold a special place in our heart. Thank you for always having Richards back. I know Richard will miss that beautiful smile of yours and especially your cornbread pancakes and I will miss your German Cuisine. I know that the family will be especially lost with out you, but hopefully they will comfort each other and come together as one. Say hello to my Mom and Papi. May you Rest in Peace.
