Columbus, Georgia - Jan Driver Brewer, 62, of Columbus, GA passed away September 19, 2021, from complications due to Covid pneumonia. She was born in 1958 in Columbus, GA to Lloyd Driver and Betty Dorsey Driver. She and her husband, Glenn Brewer, were married for over 25 years.
Jan graduated from Columbus High School and worked many years at Blue Cross Blue Shield and Paragon Benefits. Most recently, she worked at Marsh McLennan Agency.
Jan was preceded in death by her mother and father, Betty and Lloyd Driver. Jan is survived by her husband Glenn Brewer; stepchildren Robbie Brewer (Karen), Michelle Moseley (J.R.); step grandchildren Ricky Arnold (Caroline), Maranda Renigar (Michael), Courtney Brewer, Hannah Moseley, Elizabeth Moseley, A.J. Quakenbush (Leah), Krista Brindle; step great grandchildren Landyn, Cooper, Bristol and Carson; brother Wesley Driver (Cathy); nephew Tom; aunts, numerous cousins and many, many friends.
Jan was a special person who truly loved people. She had a sweet, wonderful smile, bubbly personality and a generous heart. She brought laughter and friendship everywhere she went. She loved travelling, shopping, attending concerts (especially bluegrass) and racing. Most of all, she loved her family and her friends. She was an amazing best friend to many, and she will be deeply missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Al Sihah Shriners, PO Box 3147, Macon, GA, 31205. "In memory of Jan Brewer – Transportation" on the memo line.
Friends are invited to pay respects at a "victory lap" drive-by visitation on Thursday, 9/23 5-7pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus GA. The funeral will be private. A public Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
The family would like to express great appreciation to Dr. Mike Metry, nurses and staff of St. Francis Hospital Medical Surgical ICU for their compassionate care.
