Columbus, Georgia - Mr. Robert J. Gibson, 90, of Columbus passed on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Columbus Hospice. A Funeral Mass for Mr. Gibson will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the chapel of the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home, Father Bob Benko, will be officiating. Interment will held in Parkhill Cemetery on Monday, January 25, 2021. Viewing for Mr. Gibson will be held from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the funeral home located at 927 - 5th Avenue, Columbus.
Mr. Robert J. Gibson was born on November 9, 1930 to Robert B. Gibson and Pearlie Mae Gibson Sikeston, Missouri. He was the oldest son of their 13 children. Robert married Viola J. Hughes on August 31, 1957 and celebrated 52 wonderful years of marriage until Viola's passing on November 17, 2009.
He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing, sons, Robert P. (Lisa), Jon K. (Wiltoya); daughter, Linda P. (William "Chubby") Jackson; four grandchildren, Clyde Christopher, John Edward, Jonas Robert & Jada Christine; three great-grandchildren, Janiyah Renee, Korris Christopher and Paris Naveah; four brothers, William "RB", Arthur, Sam and James; four sisters, Ruth, Annie, Robbie and Mary and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

To the Gibson family i just wanted to give my condolences,I will be praying for your family. I didn't know your Father but I do know his daughter Linda, and she is a beautiful person inside and out, and if your Father was anything like his daughter Linda he was also a beautiful and a good man.
