Amy Raymond Obituary

Amy M. St. Pierre Raymond

Rindge, NH — Amy St. Pierre Raymond was born on April 30th, 1934 in Winchendon, Ma. to Arthur and Blanche {Poland} St. Pierre and lived in Rindge most of her life. She graduated from Conant High School and lived in Spokane Washington for a time, but found it too gloomy! She returned and married William J. Raymond Jr. and had 3 children, Leslie, Ken and Earl.

Amy worked at the Guernsey Cattle Club, Letourneau Ins. & Realty, many years at Yankee Magazine in customer service and for many years she was Secretary at the Rindge Town office, and was a Supervisor of the Checklist for many years. Amy was involved with the Rindge Historical Soc. for many years. She was a Charter member of the Rindge Women's Club, a member of P.O.O.R., and the Memorial Day committee.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Wayne B. Pike Sr., her sister Janet B. Gordon, her sons, Ken and Earl, and her special friend Joe Broyles. Amy was still contacted by people from all over with Rindge history questions, and she enjoyed helping people that way. She moved to Payson Village when it opened and she loved having her neighbors close, and the card games and get togethers there. She will be greatly missed by many.

Amy is survived by her daughter Leslie (Hugh) Of Dublin, her grandchildren, Stacy Weibel (Kurt), Brian Hildreth (Jackie) Ross Hildreth, 9 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandson, and another on the way and several nieces and nephews.

Amy passed away peacefully at the Jack Byrne Ctr. in Lebanon 4 days shy of her 88th Birthday. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 5th at the Rindge Rec. Dept Hall on Wellington Road, Rindge from 2 to 5 P.M. Amy requested that we :"just hold a big Pot Luck" in her honor, if you would like to bring some food you can, but not required. We would like to thank the Rindge EMT's, the Jaffrey Ambulance, Monadnock Community Hospital, Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon and the staff at the Jack Byrne Ctr. for their care and many kindnesses to us during Amy's illness. In lieu of flowers, we ask any donations be made in her memory to the Rindge Historical Society, P.O. Box 543, Rindge, NH, 03461.

Lesley & Ken, I have a lot of fond memories of your mom. She was one of the sweetest people I ever knew while growing up in Rindge. She will be missed by the community and the family. Sending hugs

Our family shares so many memories of Amy since she worked in various jobs for the Town of Rindge, was one of the town office matchmaker in getting my son and daughter-in-law together, volunteered on many Rindge Woman's Clubs projects, and came to visit with Ida May at the Swap Shop. She loved to share her Rindge memories and family recipes. She was a treasure.

Leslie - I remember your mom fondly from gatherings at Aunt Millie's & Uncle Bill's when I was a kid. May she rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Although I didn´t know Amy personally, I feel like I knew her through her loving family who cared for her and were by her side not just in the past few weeks but throughout the years. May she Rest In Peace.
