Eileen Cloutier

1926 - 2015

JAFFREY - Eileen Cloutier, 89, resident of Jaffrey, died surrounded by her daughter Freda and loving care giver of many years, Sheila, on the afternoon of Aug. 27, 2015.

Born in Stradbroke Suffolk, England on Jul. 10, 1926 a daughter of the late Wesley and Elsie.

Eileen married Albert Cloutier in England on Jan. 12, 1945. After the conclusion of WWII they moved back to live and raise a family in Jaffrey.

She was a devoted homemaker to her loving family.

Eileen taught Sunday school for 13 years at the United Church of Jaffrey, was a Brownies leader for two years and a Girl Scout leader for six years.

She was very fond of arts and crafts but especially fond of sewing and knitting.

In addition to her parents Eileen is predeceased by one sister, one brother and her loving husband Albert.

Eileen opened her heart and home to many people over the years that were in a time of need.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Miller of California, Freda Bakarian of Taunton, Mass., Betty Roberts of Washington; one grandchild, Charles Peabody Jr. of Massachsetts; son-in-law, David, her loving caregiver, Sheila Ellis and many close friends.

Services: Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Monadnock Bible Baptist Church, 210 South Woodbound Road, Rindge. Burial will be in Conant Cemetery, Jaffrey.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Eileen's memory to the Monadnock Bible Baptist Church, 210 South Woodbound Road, Rindge.
