Madge Alberta Ellis

1928 - 2015

WILTON - Madge Alberta Ellis, 87, died March 17, 2015, at the Belknap nursing home in Laconia, N.H. with her family by her side. She was born on Feb. 3, 1928. She was the daughter of Jasper W. and Gwendolyn (Mullett) Hunt. Madge went to school in Sullivan, N.H. She and her husband Roy lived in Winchendon, Mass. and Pepperell, Mass. before settling in Wilton in 1960. Madge loved her family and being together for the holidays. She also like to paint and do word search puzzles. She and her husband owned Shetland ponies and would take the ponies and a covered wagon to the Wilton Fourth of July parade. They were known around town as Ma and Pa Ellis. When the Fair season started, Madge loved to visit all of the fall fairs with Roy.

Madge is survived by her son, Wayne Ellis and his wife, Cheryl of Gilmanton, N.H. and her daughter, Donna Walker of Keene.

Seven grandchildren, Heather and Geoffrey Grondin, Jamie and Aaron Ellsworth, Benjamin and his fiancée Chrissy Paguin and Shelly Ellis Simpson. Also six great grandchildren.

Madge was predeceased by her son Roy and a sister Jackie Wilson.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Madge's life on Saturday, Apr. 4, 2015 at Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple Street, Wilton. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Burial will be in the spring in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wilton.
