A. McCabe Obituary
Mr Albert 'Mac' McCabe, of Boythorpe, has died at home, aged 81.
A lifelong resident of the area, he was born at Staveley.
He worked for Chesterfield Tube Works as a crane driver and ended his working life as a union convenor at the plant.
A keen sportsman as a young man, he enjoyed cricket and loved watching sport on television, mainly cricket and horse racing. He also enjoyed socialising.
A widower, he leaves two sons, David and Paul.
A funeral service takes place at 11.50am today at Chesterfield Crematorium.
