Abby Xie (Oey Bie Nio), 73, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at noon. She was born on July 26, 1942. Abby was the eldest daughter of Oey Sang Po and Tan Goat Nio, Abby grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia. She moved to San Diego in 1998.
Her Family and friends were Abby's passion. She enjoyed watching her grandsons, who she helped raise, compete and win golf tournaments. At the golf courses where her grandsons play, she was known as "grandma". When not at the golf courses, she loved to cook for her family and friends. She was loving, generous, and friendly.
Abby was survived by her husband of 48 years, Anthony Xie (Kho Sing Po); two daughters, Rainy Selamat and Aster Hartanto; four sisters, and two brothers. Abby was preceded in death by her brother.
The memorial visitation will be at El Camino Memorial Park - Sorrento Valley, Friday, November 20, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Pastor Raymundus will lead us in prayers and blessing ceremony at 6:00 pm following the visitation.
Placement of the urn will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015, 3:00 pm, at El Camino Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her. We love her and will miss her so much.
