Albert Joseph Brunner, 78, formerly of 1118 W. Emaus Ave. Allentown, died July 29, 2010 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township. He was a salesman at Rhodes Press in Allentown from 1991 until retiring in 1999. Prior to that, he was the owner and operator of Als Doughnuts in Las Vegas, NV, and was the owner and operator of Brunner the Printer in Auburn, N.Y. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Margaret (Strobl) Brunner of Allentown, and the late Albert Joseph Brunner. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He also played the trumpet in the Air Force Band. He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Allentown. Survivors: Mother, Margaret Brunner of Allentown; loving companion, Joan Schmidt of Allentown; daughters, Christine Vuillemot of Union City, N.J., Margaret wife of Paul Liberatore of Auburn, N.Y., and Shanice Brunner of Las Vegas, NV; son, Albert J. Brunner of Auburn, N.Y.; sister, Shirley Egan of Allentown; brother, John Brunner and his wife Michelle of Santa Barbara, CA; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Jeanette Brunner. Services: Calling hour will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts., Allentown. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
