Dear Williams family,
Chip was one of those special students that I loved. The combination of Chip and Bucky would make the most sullen person laugh. I loved being with them.Chip played and Bucky sang at my daughter's wedding. Not only was the music so beautiful-we had such a good time together. Chip brought so much joy to so many lives. I am thinking of you all. Betty Burkett SFH

We were so saddenned to read about Chip's passing. To be so young it just doesn't seem right. How proud you must be as his family for his accomplishments and what a wonderful person he was. As a member of St. Paul UMC I remember how beautifully Chip played during the services. The special music programs he brought to our church were so moving. We were so blessed to have Chip play for our wedding in November of 1989. The combination of Chip playing and Bucky singing brought so much to our wedding ceremony and made it so special. We had so many compliments on the music! We would just like to express our sympathy to the family of Chip and to let you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. We know Chip is playing beautiful music in Heaven! May God Bless You All. Love, Richard and Susan Liles

To Mr. and Mrs. Williams,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Chip`s passing. I went to high school with him and we sung on several choirs together. I had an opportunity to see him again at our ten year class reunion and he was as lively as ever. In addition to being a very talented and gifted musician,he was always fun to be around and I enjoyed his company very much. I considered him a friend. He will be greatly missed.
I will continue to pray for you and your family.

We both went to school with Chip and remember him as the nicest and most amazingly talented young man. Just recently we were at a class BBQ and were speaking about Chip and how he was loving his work in Columbia.
Your family has always been a big part of the Evergreen community and you're being held close to our hearts and prayers at this time.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do.

I have just learned of Chip's death, and words are inadequate to express to you my deep sorrow. I was fortunate to know Chip as a wonderful minister, musician, and friend. I enjoyed performing with him. He was such a talented and caring young man. It seems so strange to use the word "was." I just listened to a recording he made for me as a Christmas present while he was still a minister at St. Paul's. I will miss knowing that he is not here on this earth, but I know tonight that he is spending eternity in heaven. Thank you for the gift of your son to this world. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers in the days to come. Love, Susan Kirby Roe

I was saddened to hear the news today of Chip's passing. Chip is the cousin I spent the most time with growing up. I remember how much he loved music and how very talented he was. Chip and I had several classes together and he was well liked by everyone that knew him. I can't think of a single time that he was angry or didn't have a smile on his face. It is hard to understand why these things happen, but we can all take comfort in knowing he is with God now.

Dear Gene, Bobbie & family,
We love you, and Chip will be dearly missed. Chip was always a wonderful, thoughtful, and talented young man. As family, togeather we are praying for you in your time of great loss. We will miss Chip as one so close and dear, but God has his perfect timing. I can seemingly hear the Angels of Heaven singing to Chips Masterful Music Mind and Hand as he enters that "Great Music Hall of Fame" in Heaven!
With Deut. 33:27--"May the eternal God be your refuge, knowing under- neath are The Everlasting Arms." Arm
May you find comfort and strength
in God's love! One day we will all
be together in that City of God so
fair, such as Chip ministered through music and caring love!
Your friend and family,

We are so saddened by the news of Chip's death. We well remember when he came to us at St. Paul UMC as organist. He was almost 16 but so talented. He certainly had the ability to perform and did so in such a wonderful way. He was a delight to work with. He was our friend. We've kept up with him through the years and seen him from time to time. It was always a joy to see him. He will be missed terribly by many people. Our prayers are with the family.
