ALEXANDRA SLANE Obituary
Age 26, of Frazer Twp., on Monday, October 10, 2016. Loving daughter of Catherine (Szafranski) and Kevin Slane; beloved sister of Justin Slane, Nanci Slane and Marissa Slane; also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Friends received MONDAY 2-9 p.m. at WORRELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 820 Main St., Sharpsburg. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Juan Diego Parish, Sharpsburg in Madonna of Jerusalem Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alexandra's memory to the Lighthouse Foundation, 1302 E. Cruikshank Rd., Butler, PA 16002.

Cathy,Kevin, Marissa and family, know that you are in our prayers! We do know the sadness and emptiness of losing a child, as we lost our son in 2006 he was 24. I can tell you time does not make the aching go away, but it does however let you know how to deal with it better. I am so sorry for your loss. Alex was as kind as she was beautiful, she had a big heart and an even bigger smile. I only met her a couple of years ago, but she has had a big impact on me. I feel blessed she came into my life. I know she is shining down on all of you from heaven.

Slane Family,
I am sorry I never met you during Alex's years at Oakland Catholic when she was friends with my daughter Kimberly.
I did have the pleasure of knowing Alex . She had a pretty face, sparkling eyes, beautiful smile, and I really was happy my daughter ended up considering her a best friend.
She was over my house a few times, and I was always happy to see her.
Kimberly kept in touch with Alex thru the years, and they were going to meet this weekend.
I am so sorry for your loss, and my prayers are with you all during this time.
Alex will always be with you all, and will be your special angel watching over you.

My heart is just breaking into pieces for all of you. I cherish the time we spent together going back and forth to TRC. She had the most beautiful smile and I loved her sense of humor. She could always make me laugh. I truly loved her and will remember her always. I thank God for having let her into my life. She was one of my girls, and I will love her forever.
