Alvin H. Hansen Jr.

Alvin H. Hansen, Jr. 71 of Cascade passed away peacefully Aug. 2, 2006 at his home after a long battle with melanoma. Memorial services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday Aug. 6, 2006 at the American Legion Hall in Cascade under the direction of the Heikkila Funeral Chapel, McCall. Alvin was born May 16, 1935 in Boise, Idaho. He graduated from Boise High School and Boise State University. He married Jean in 1956 and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, July 21st. He retired from his position as Human Resource Director at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical center in 1987. He spent the next 20 years living in their cabin in Cascade, wintering in Arizona and traveling to Europe and an unforgettable visit to St. Petersburg, Russia. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and ATV rider. He is survived by his wife Jean, sons Erik and Andrew, grandchildren Conrad, Calvin Ross, Ellen and Molly, his brother Brent and sister Sherill and stepmother Beatah, and his beloved cat Gato. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. The family thanks the staff at MSTI, Boise and the McCall St. Luke's hospice team. Memorials may be made to MSTI or another of your choice.
