Andy was born April 10, 1996 in Edmonton, Alberta Always an outgoing child, boy and young man, Andy touched the lives of his family and friends and had the ability to make you smile or laugh out loud with his sweet charm and outrageously silly personality. Andy loved spending time at the lake whether it was hanging out with his sister Aadra, fishing, seadooing, wakeboarding or antic filled campfires nights with his lake friends. Many of us know him as an amazing poet and songwriter, almost a singer but quite the video performer...some light and funny like his infamous "Hockey Talky" and his attempt to skippity skip with his own arms. But much of his more serious work reflected an internal suffering that no one was able to quite reach in and tear out...
Andy will be endlessly missed by his loving parents, Wendy and Frank; his Oma, Jane; his Opa, Henk (Jannie) in The Netherlands; his sisters Aadra and Jodie Ritter (Dave); his brother Jason Ritter (Ebony) nephews, Jaymes and Adem; and nieces; Shaya, Alex and Assunta, Also missing him are aunties Linda Olson (Jerry) and Connie Finnegan and extended family and an incredible number of friends and followers of his work. He is preceded in death by grandparents Violet and Wayne Webber & Oma Trudy vdBleek who all got quite a kick out of him.
Andy would want you to say something kind to someone everyday, and maybe make someone laugh just a little in a memory of him today... He touched so many people in his short life and there will be many holes in many hearts for a long time...
We welcome you to a celebration of his life on Monday June 11th at 1pm. at the Kingsway Legion 14339 50 St NW, Edmonton
Andy loved his animals, Morten his Shepherd, Joey the Cat, Scout the Ball Python and Parthenox the Bearded Lizard... and he was broken hearted when Aadra's beloved Slippers and Emma died. We were and still are so saddened to learn of Andi's death and of his struggles that led him to that. We all remember Andi with a smile on his face at the lake and Norton roaming nearby. Mitch and Nolan knew Andi's goofy side from their campfires together. Our hearts are heavy for you with this loss.

Andy was good friends with our son Jeff when they were in elementary school, soccer and cubs. We were just talking about how one year he was the only attendee at Jeff's birthday party due to others being in a hockey tournament. He was so kind that day saying "I am sorry the others didn't come". When he was over he would come into our house checking out the frig and pantry for food. After elementary, they went to a different juniors high school so we did not see him. We are so sorry to hear of his struggles with his health. Our deepest condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Andy's passing. I remember him well from my kindergarten class. He had such a great sense of humour, contagious laugh and a wonderful smile. He was truly one of a kind-a very special fellow. My condolences to all the family.

Our thoughts are with you all at this time of loss, your son sounded like a beautiful soul and his memory will live on forever. We don't no you or your son , but when I read of a young man passing my hearts breaks for you. 1999 changed my life when my son passed away on Thanksgiving morning he was only 14.
