Anna Marie White, 82, of Kenna, WV passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ripley. She was born in Charleston on May 2, 1933, a daughter of the late Arthur and Lucy May Burdette Cavender. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lee “Kayo” White. She was a former nurse’s aide at St. Francis Hospital. She was a Christian and a member of the former Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Big Chimney. She is survived by four sons, Gregory White, Myron (Carmen) White, and Charles White, all of Kenna, and Dannie White of Ripley; three sisters, Jewell Loy of Charleston, Nancy Marion of Ripley, Marion Duncan of Charleston; a brother, Sam Cavender of Big Chimney; four grandchildren, Christian White, Erica Halstead, Laura Armstrong, and Molly Boehling; nine great-grandchildren, Savanna Halstead, Emma Halstead, Caden Halstead, Bryce Halstead, Sophie Armstrong, Luca Armstrong, Penelope Marie Armstrong, Eli Workman, and Kayo Boehling.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Jan 15, at 1:00 pm at Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 am until service time.
