GRIGG-REVEREND ANNE E. GRIGG (Hannon) of Moose Jaw, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005. Born March 31, 1921 on the farm at McCord, Saskatchewan, Anne received her education at Milly and McCord Elementary and Assiniboia High School. She attended Moose Jaw Teachers College, University of Saskatchewan, Centre for Christian Studies, University of Montana (BA Elementary Education) and Vancouver School of Theology. As a teacher, she taught in various schools including Lark Hill, Kincaid and in Moose Jaw (Lindale, Alexander and King Edward). Anne also taught home-bound students in their homes or in hospital. As diaconal Minister, she helped with the founding of St. John's United Church, Regina, and served as minister in Moose Jaw for twelve years at Trinity and Grandview United Churches and at Minto United Church. Predeceased by her parents, Mae and John Hannon and by one sister, Emily (Lorne) Besley. Anne married Earl Grigg of Moose Jaw July 3, 1952. They have a daughter, Reverend Darilyn Grigg of Moose Jaw and a son, Glen Grigg, M.A. (Andrea) of North Vancouver; grandchildren: Barry (Julie) Davis of Edmonton, Heather (Ghislain) Demers of Montreal, Andrew (Sharla) Johnson, Ryan Johnson of Moose Jaw and Heidi Johnson of Whistler; greatgrandchildren: Adam & Jamie Davis of Edmonton, Morgan Demers of Montreal and Brayden Johnson of Moose Jaw; brother, Gordon (Vera) Hannon of Swift Current, brother-in-law, Lloyd Grigg and sister-in-law, Mildred (John) Tuplin of Moose Jaw, as well as many nieces and nephews. A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 28, 2005 AT 2:00 P.M. IN THE W.J. JONES & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, MOOSE JAW. Reverend Peter J. Calhoun and Elinor Coxwill officiate. Cremation will take place with memorialization at a later date. For those so wishing, memorials may be directed to a charity of one's choice. in living memory of Anne, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
