Tony like to laugh, he liked to have a good time, and he wanted those around him to have a good time, which he often enabled. And Tony was tough. He was tough in business and he was tough as he fought his battle with cancer.
Tony leaves a legacy of generosity, fun-loving and success behind. He was unique, he was a good friend and he will be missed.

Throughout my early childhood I always looked up to Tony. He was always cheerful, positive, and a guiding influence to me when I was young. I've always felt close to him and always will. He was truly one of a kind.

Fifty nine years ago i watched JFK's funeral service with Tony at the Clark residence in Hillsdale with Judie and Kathy. His charisma dazzled me at the time and never really dimmed through the years.
Reggie Jackson, a famous NYY baseball hero, once arrogantly described his impact upon the team as being "the straw that stirs the drink". In my lifetime Tony remained the straw that stirred the drink in every room i shared with him, in every conversation we had and in every memory of the times we experienced together. i am proud that he considered me a friend until the end, a fact he confirmed in August when we spoke and exchanged email messages.
Tony's many accomplishments derived from his exceptional skill as a listener. He listened and learned and connected the lessons in all different situations. Yes, he could be compulsive and stubborn too, but his successes and the many projects he initiated and completed were the product of his skill, focus and the lessons he applied from absorbing information from every source, however humble or powerful.
The experience of sharing friendship with Tony will remain with me always, accompanied by a smile and a distinctive tingle that resonates after six decades.
ADG was one very special individual.

It's on a sad day that Tony left this Earth.
Wonderful day for Heaven. Tony and Judie helped so many people in their lives, especially me. I remember all the amazing things he's done and built. Always up for a challenge. Always upbeat. He will be truly missed.
