Arthur Francis ‘Dave’ Davis, 81; Army veteranFuneral services for Arthur Francis “Dave” Davis, 81, of Jeffersonville will be at 1 p.m., Monday, June 2, at Coots Funeral Home, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.He was born Feb. 17, 1927 in Salem to the late Charles I. and Helen Abbott Davis. He was a supervisor at ADT Security Services. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post 35 in Jeffersonville.Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Eddings Davis; son, John D. Davis, Borden; daughter, Donna F. Williams, Lexington, Ky.; brothers, Paul Davis, Jeffersonville, and Norman Davis, Sellersburg; sisters, Norma Ellis, Marcella Grimes, Marilyn Amos, and Ruth Ann Andres, all of Sellersburg; grandsons, Keith Stricker and Charles Ross IV, both of Lexington, Ky.; granddaughters, Kami, Abbey and Molli Davis, all of Borden; and two great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother, Charles I. Davis.Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 1, and from 9 a.m. until time of service, Monday.
