As a former staff child at Epworth, Mr. Morgan was a mentor to me. He loved working with children and had a great sense of humor. I remember being friends with Danny and Bobby, playing baseball, football. Mr. Morgan and my father, Bill, were both held in high regard at Epworth. I am a better person having known this special man, his wife, and his children. My sincere condolences.

My condolences to the family on your loss. Living to be almost 80 years of age is amazing. Remember you are never along. God promises to be with you to "give you thoughts of peace and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)

To the Morgan Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

I remember Dan Morgan as a child growing up at the United Methodist Children's Home. He got me and the other kids involved in little league baseball at Belverdere Park and would take us to participate in events like the Peachtree Road Race in the early 70's. I got to play on a team he coached at the YMCA with his son Bobby and we almost won a big tournament game at the Decatur Rec. Center. He was full of smiles and always had a joke to make you laugh. We all will miss his loving ,joyful, giving spirit in which he used to minister to the kids he loved at the Home. Thank you Danny, Bobby and Susan for sharing this great man, your father- with us.

Memories of high school days flood my soul as I read of all the accomplishments Dan made to his family, community, and church. A beautiful legacy. I grew up in the same Candler community as Dan and my Mother & Father were friends to his parents. May your family feel the presence and strength of the Savior at this time. To the family, I am sorry to hear the news about your loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61:1,2
