1930 - 2014
Our dear mother passed away on September 22, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Pietro Cresta. She leaves to mourn, and will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children John, Rose (Joe), Connie, Michael (Donna); her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie (Rob), David, Jessica (Jimmy), Jonathan, Michael, Sarah (Ryan), Alex, Daniel and Lucia; her sister Maria; as well as her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends of Montreal and Italy. Viewing at Yves Légaré Funeral Complex, Lasalle, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Funeral will be at Madre Dei Cristiani Church, 1600 Thierry, Lassale, on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Montreal Jewish Hospital Cancer Foundation.

C'est avec une immense tristesse que j'ai appris le décès de ta maman.
Nous savons tous que la vie s'arrête un jour. Laisse le temps au temps, qui apaisera ton chagrin petit à petit. Et dis-toi que cette femme extraordinaire qu'étais ta maman restera à jamais vivante dans ton coeur et le nôtre.

I am so saddened that Zia Assunta passed. She was a beautiful, loving adorable aunt, that was always present in our lives. She made each one of us feel special, always referring to us as " cuore di zia", even when she was sick and weak. Truly a special woman whom I will always remember with pride.
