Audrey Eifler Obituary
AUDREY (LEITERMAN)
Peacefully on Sun., Feb. 4, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with cancer; daughter of Clara R. and the late John P. Leiterman; beloved wife of David, her best friend of 40 years; cherished mother of Jeffrey M. (Christina) Eifler and Cynthia N. (Edward) Obuchowski; loving "Hon" (grandmother) to Alexis Nicole, Nicholas David, Daniel Frederick, Dustin Edward, Teagan Marie, & Colten Patrick; sister-in-law of Dennis & Mary Eifler, William & Susan Racke, and Douglas Eifler; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends received on Tues 7-9 pm and Wed 2-4 & 7-9 at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 7720 Perry Hwy. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa of Avila Church on Thursday at 10 am. Audrey was a long time employee of The Perry Wine & Spirits Shoppe. The family wishes to thank the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for the excellent care provided to Audrey during her final days, and Dr. Robert Gluckman and his wonderful staff at Oncology Hematology Assoc. for the competent and compassionate care they provided throughout Audrey's illness. I went to high school with Audrey we had most of our classes together.
I saw Audrey last at our 40th reunion. I have many fun memories of our times at St Benedict's Academy, she was always fun and we shared many laughs even as recent as this past reunion.
I only wish I could have paid my last respects in person.

DEAR EIFLER FAMILY, I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS A FEW HOURS AGO. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. AUDREY WAS ONE OF A FEW OF THE BEST PEOPLE I EVER KNEW. I THOUGHT OF HER ALWAYS AND WILL NEVER FORGET HER. I AM GOING TO SEND A DONATION TO BOTH THE CANCER SOCIETY AND THE GOOD SAMARATAN. THE PHONE NO, I HAVE IS NOT THE ONE YOU HAVE NOW BUT I WILL TRY TO REACH ALL OF YOU. Although I do not know you, I did know your mother many, many years ago. We played together as children when we lived next door to each other on Liverpool St. She was such a beautiful little girl
(I especially remember her long blonde pigtails), and I can see from her picture that she was also a beautiful woman. I extend my deepest sympathy to all of you.
