Mrs. Wharton was my kindergarten teacher at the Ben Avon Methodist Church on Woodland Road in 1961. I remember her fondly as a kind and caring teacher. She and your father later built a house on the lot beside my house in Ben Avon Heights. I had dinner with a friend from grade school, David Koch, last week and we spoke of your mother. I'm sure you will miss her a great deal. She was a blessing to me at a young age. Laura (Dunbar) Doty
