Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Smith, 79 of Chesapeake City, Md went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
Barbara “Bobbie” was born July 1, 1940, in Ramey, PA to William and Alfretta Henry. A family of coal miners and farmers of Western PA, Bobbie was one of 8 siblings.
She was a graduate of Pine Township High School, Class of 1958.
Bobbie married the love of her life, Homer Clarence Smith on July 25, 1958, and together they raised four children. She did many things throughout her working career and always applied a very hard work ethic to every job she had and taught her children the same principle. Her special interests were gardening, traveling and reading; most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Ron and Merle and her sisters Helen and Sandra. She is survived by her brother Ben and sisters, Naomi and Judy.
Bobbie is survived by her husband Homer, daughter Kathy (Mitchell), son Eddie (Terri), daughter JoAnn (Bill) and daughter Terry.
She's also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer, Danny, Darlene, Laura, Stephanie, Zach, Jamie, Andrea, Jake, Ben, and her great-grandchildren: Madison, Dominic, Cagney, Phaedra, Tristan, Liam, Marcus, Valen, Kylie, Sawyer, Isla, Rowan, Chloe, Brynn, Chase, and Azazel.
While we are grieving the loss of our wife, mother, and grandmother, we take comfort in the knowledge that she is with her Father in heaven for eternity.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 11th at the Eastern Shore Bible Baptist Church, 13984 Gregg Neck Rd., Galena, MD 21635. Friends may call from 11 AM – 12 Noon, the service will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
