Barbara Polesir Obituary
Barbara was born in New York, NY, raised in the Bronx, NY and had resided in Cherry Hill, NJ before moving to Southampton. Barbara was a Board Member of Leisuretown and also a member of the “Pooligans”. She enjoyed bird watching, trips to places with historical relevance, and going on artistic outings.
Barbara was predeceased by her beloved spouse, Morton Polesir; and sister, Chickie Benson. She is survived by her children, Benjamin and Karen Polesir; siblings; Patsy Serrano, Frances Suk, John Hills; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, April 8th from 12:00 to 2:00 PM immediately followed by a memorial service, both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Final disposition will be privately held at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara’s name may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.

Karen and Ben,
I found out today the sad news of your Moms passing. I just have to tell you how beautiful your Mom was inside and out. She was a shining light for my father in some of his darkest days. She made him smile and laugh again and that was something I will always be grateful for. Her friendship with him was a gift not only to him but to myself and my siblings. Having lost both my parents as well I know how hard it is to wrap your head around not having them there. I will be thinking of you and her and keeping you in my prayers. God Bless. Really there aren't any words. I hope over this week you are able to celebrate your mom's life. I hope you can absorb the stories people share of your mother to help you get through the days ahead that might be tough when everyone isn't around. I loved your mother and am so grateful for her support encouragement and love over the years. She was a fierce advocate for survivors and I am so glad I was Blessed to hear from her on every Holiday and Birthdays. I wish I could be there to help you get through. Love to you.
