Ben Savage Obituary
Ben W. Savage Jr., 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved-ones on March 16, 2017. He worked at Firestone Tire until an injury in 1974. Since then he was lovingly taken care of at home by his son, Benny, with the help of special nurses, Janet Wells and Carman Wiggins.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mary Savage and brother, Karl. He is survived by his children, Ben Savage III, Robert Ohlson, and Alicia Savage of Colorado; close friend, Deborah Moles; and sister, Sandra Conti, who gave him the nickname "Geegee."
Family will welcome guests for a memorial service to be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. To leave a special message for the family, visit www.NewcomerAkron.com.

Very Sorry to hear about Benny. He had a wonderful sence of humor and his laugh was one of a kind. He had a good heart & a lot of fun to be around. Heaven is a brighter place with a lot of laughter.Benny well be greatly missed by all who knew him. Thoughts and Prayers to his Family. He was very proud of all of you. Especially Ben. He appreciated all the care and love. He is now your Guardian Angel. "God Bless" Rest in Peace Benny. Until we meet again.
